DeepSource is joining Harness

We’re excited to announce that Harness has acquired DeepSource. We’re joining Harness to bring our agentic code review and code security capabilities into Harness’s Autonomous SDLC Platform, and to keep working on our original mission: helping developers ship good code.

For our existing customers, your workspace, integrations, workflows, and the DeepSource you know, will continue to work the same. Over time, DeepSource's capabilities will become part of the broader Harness platform, and you’ll be able to run more of your software development workflow on a unified, AI-native platform.

Why Harness?

We started DeepSource because code review was fundamentally broken. The tools that could analyze code deeply were far too noisy, while tools developers actually tolerated were too shallow to catch anything meaningful. As AI agents write most of the code today, this problem has only deepened. The bottleneck has moved downstream, from writing code to understanding and verifying it, especially as code is generated at breakneck speed.

It was clear to us that code verification cannot stay a standalone product. If code is going to be generated, tested, and shipped by an increasingly autonomous pipeline, then the layer that decides whether that code is safe to ship has to live inside the pipeline.

That is why we chose Harness. They are building the Autonomous SDLC Platform to ship AI-written code quickly, catch risks before they ship, and govern every pipeline. "Catching risk before it ships" is a one-line summary of what we have spent years building, and it is where depth matters most. While we could have continued building toward that vision as an independent product, joining Harness allows us to get there faster and more effectively, delivering more value to the customers who are counting on us
